The electric valve mainly consists of two parts: a valve body and a electric actuator. The latter can control the opening and closing of the former, thus realizing the control of pipeline fluids.
Electric valves are widely used in agricultural irrigation, energy exploitation, pipeline transportation, water treatment and other fields because of their simple operation, long service life and wide range of applications.
Electric valves can be classified according to the valve body and actuator.
Classified according to the Valve Body:
On the basis of the form of valve body, it can be divided into electric ball valves and electric butterfly valves.
According to the material of the valve body,
electric valves can be divided into the ones with stainless steel, brass, UPVC, cast iron and other material.
In the light of the connection mode,
electric valves can be divided into the ones with threads (internal threads and external threads), flanges, clamps and direct insertions.
Classified according to the Actuator:
According to functions, the electric valve can be divided into electric on-off valves and electric regulating valves. The former are generally classified into two types: normally closed ones and normally open ones. Normally closed
electric valves means that the valve is closed when the power supply is interrupted, while normally open ones means that the valve is open in the same case.
Selection of Electric Valves
It is significant to select a proper electric valve. If it is not chosen properly, it will cause waste of resources and unsatifactory use effect. In many cases, electric butterfly valves is much cheaper than the ball valve with the same caliber, but the caliber of butterfly valves must be larger than DN50. In some special working environments, we should choose explosion-proof, sanitary and high-pressure
electric valves to meet the need of the industry, and choose the sealing method of valves according to the temperature of the working environment. Therefore, when choosing
electric valves, we must communicate with professional technicians to make us understand our own needs, so as to avoid wrong choices.
